About this product

Most small and mid-size carriers run their testing program out of a spreadsheet, an email folder and a filing cabinet. That works until the day someone asks for it in order — and then the question is not whether the company did the right thing, but whether it can show that it did, with dates.

The Compliance Platform is the system of record for that. It holds the employee roster, the test records across pre-employment, random, post-accident and reasonable-suspicion categories, and the incident reports supervisors file. Every consequential action writes to an append-only audit log with the old and new values and a timestamp, and the exports pull straight from that log rather than from a report someone assembled afterwards.

The piece DERs use hardest is the decision engine. When a situation arrives — a positive result, an accident that may or may not meet the post-accident criteria, an observation a supervisor is unsure about — the engine walks the DER through the decision with the governing citation shown at each step, and locks the session when it completes. The session cannot be edited afterwards, which is precisely what makes it worth having.

Records are organized around FMCSA Part 382 and driver qualification requirements.

Questions

How does billing start?
One-time onboarding fee ($49 Starter, $99 Professional), credited to your first plan charge. That charge is on day 31. Cancel before then and you owe nothing further. The platform is available from the day you subscribe, so you can load a roster and see how records and exports behave with your own data before the first plan charge.
Does the platform do random selection?
No, and it is not planned. Random selections are made by the employer’s consortium or C/TPA, not by NSCI — see 49 CFR 40.347. What NSCI does is record the resulting tests: which consortium or C/TPA made the selection, the selection date, the CCF number, the employer’s custody documentation, and the result the DER enters — all on an append-only audit trail.
Can records be edited after the fact?
It depends on the record. Completed decision-engine sessions are locked and cannot be edited — that is enforced in the database, not just in the interface. The audit log is append-only and retains old and new values. Employee, test and incident records themselves remain editable by authorized users, with every change written to the audit log.
What can I export for an auditor?
Audit log CSV, compliance report CSV, and per-document download. Exports carry timestamps drawn from the underlying records.
How do alerts work?
Alerts appear in the application, on dates you configure. They are in-app notifications, not email. Supervisor completion records are deliberately excluded from any renewal prompt, because a § 382.603 record does not expire.
Is my company’s data separated from other companies?
Yes. Role-based access is enforced on the server and every query is scoped to your company. Users cannot reach another company’s records.
